OH MY GOODNESS these are such an improvement over the screw-on "nuts" that came with my inherited weight set. It's a 1 inch or 1.5-inch screw dumbbell/barbell set, and the barbell in particular is SO ANNOYING to change with spinning the lock-nut for SO LONG to get it off, add weight to one side, spin it forever, then repeat with the other side. Now these babies just clamp, BOOM, you're ready for your next set. I'm using these with the barbell because that one is longest and therefore you save the most time using these clips. Also, with dumbbells I tend to do exercises like hammer curls or tricep presses where the bar is vertical and there's the tiniest chance these might come off one day. But I tested them new and shook the weights around and it was pretty solid so maybe my fears are unfounded. But for horizontal-bar exercises like bench press, squat, deadlift, military, standing rows, etc, these are AWESOME.They don't snug the weights down as tightly as a lock-nut, but they take literally 20x less time than a spinning nut so I'm going to accept a tiny amount of rattling and call it good.Seriously, if you have one of these screw-bar weight sets, BUY THESE CLIPS and use all the time you save spinning locknuts to actually work out instead.
